My name is Katharina Hacker and I have been a PhD Candidate at the GCSC since October 2023. I was immediately attracted by the interdisciplinary environment and the variety of opportunities for doctoral students. From the beginning, I felt that contemporary perspectives and an invitation to participate were the driving factors that make up the academic space and community. The warm welcome made it easy to make contacts and find my way around the new environment. In particular, the Research Areas provide a space for discussion, exchange of knowledge and literature, which I find enriching.
