Curriculum Vitae:


Andreas Walter is a Professor of Financial Services at Justus Liebig University Giessen. Previously, he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the DFG Research Training Group "Corporate Development, Market Processes, and Regulation in Dynamic Decision Processes," and as a Visiting Scholar at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

His research focuses on the decision-making behavior of private and institutional investors, particularly Behavioral Finance, Household Finance, Asset Management, and ESG Investments. Andreas Walter's research has been published in leading international journals such as the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Finance, Research Policy and the Journal of Banking and Finance. His research work has also received several awards, including the Hillcrest Best Paper Award in Behavioral Finance, the SWX Best Paper Award, and the Walther Rathenau Prize.

He teaches in the areas of Financial Services, Behavioral Finance, Risk Management, and Sustainable Finance.

Andreas Walter earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and pursued his studies in Business Administration at the same institution after completing a banking apprenticeship.
