Faculty 06 - Psychology and Sports Science
Welcome to Faculty 06
Approx. 850 students are currently enrolled at faculty 06 to major in psychology. There are 18 professorships in this department. This covers the entire range of scientific psychology in research and teaching.
At JLU’s Institute of Sport Science, approximately 1,500 students are currently enrolled in a range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Teaching and research are carried out by a multidisciplinary team comprising five professorships, which study human movement, physical activity, and sport from pedagogical, physiological, social, and psychological perspectives. Together, these perspectives contribute to a comprehensive understanding of human movement as a biological, psychological, social, and cultural phenomenon. The Institute combines high-quality teaching with empirical research on movement, health, performance, learning, and participation, addressing questions that are relevant both within sport science and for society more broadly.
