By train:

• from the Giessen train station, take bus number 2, 5, or 24 to "Marktplatz"
• on foot from the Giessen train station to the Department of Geography see above map for directions

By car:

• from Dortmund, take the A45 (Exit - Wetzlar-Ost)>B49>B429 (Exit GI-West, Stadtmitte),  to come into Giessen via "Nordanlage"
• from Erfurt or Kassel, take the A5 (Exit - Reiskirchen)>B49 to come into Giessen via  "Berliner Platz"
• from Frankfurt, take the A5 (from Gambacher Kreuz)>A45 (from Giessener Suedkreuz)>A485 (Dreieck Bergwerkswald)>B49>B429 (Exit GI-West, Stadtmitte) to come into Giessen via "Nordanlage"
