Welcome to "DeSScipher!

Dear people with systemic sclerosis,
dear interested physicians and researchers,

welcome to the homepage of the DeSScipher project!

DeSScipher is the acronym for ”to decipher the optimal management of systemic sclerosis”. Aim of this international EU-funded research project is to enhance the treatment strategies for people with systemic sclerosis and therefore to improve the quality of life in the future.

DeSScipher is currently the largest project ever for systemic sclerosis, and mainly consists of five observational, non-interventional studies, which started in April 2014 and closed patient recruitment in November 2015. The 1-year and 2-year follow-up visits are ongoing and will be facilitated until November 2017 as EUSTAR clinical projects under the umbrella of the European Scleroderma Trials and Research group  (EUSTAR) and the World Scleroderma Foundation (WSF).

On this homepage, you can find information about the background of systemic sclerosis, as well as more information about the DeSScipher project, its observational trials, the DeSScipher partners and contributing EUSTAR Centers.
