Dear members of the GCSC,  

 

I am sure that most of you have been following the political turmoil surrounding the proposed changes to immigration law in Germany. While this bill has ultimately not come into effect, it sets a dangerous precedent for possible future developments, especially in the lead-up to the elections. We, representatives of the Equal Opportunities Committee and the Graduate Student Committee, recognise that this situation may be a cause for concern for many in our community, particularly those living in Germany on visas. 

 

Therefore, we would like to invite you to a small get-together next Wednesday, February 12, from 15:30 in the second-floor kitchen at the GCSC. This will be an opportunity to share your thoughts, worries, and concerns over a cup of coffee or tea. Both beverages, along with snacks, will be provided!  

 

The purpose  of this event is to express our support for the international community at the GCSC and to strengthen our bonds as students. We hope to see as many of you there as possible. In the meantime, and beyond, our committees remain open to any questions or concerns you may have.
