"Vegan Cell Culture" Without the Use of Animal Components? Possibilities and Limitations
The aim of the project is to make the widespread animal component-based cell culture (fetal calf serum, FCS) in teaching and research more sustainable by establishing animal-free reagents as ethically responsible alternatives. We will revise selected teaching modules and adapt them to the latest developments in the field of the 3R principles (Replace, Reduce, Refine) concerning the use of animal components.
