Setting up eduroam Mac

Requirements

For the following steps, you must be within the Wi-Fi range of JLU or another institution that offers the eduroam Wi-Fi network.
You have the access data for your university account.
Operating system: macOS should be up to date, i.e. all updates should be installed.

Setting up an eduroam connection

Note: The images shown here may differ on your device.

In the settings, search for the Wi-Fi network named eduroam and click on it.
Enter the username (J-ID, G-ID, S-ID) and password

username@uni-giessen.de
- Important:
  - In order to be able to connect to other locations that offer eduroam using the established connection (eduroam profile), the suffix
    @uni-giessen.de
    must be specified when setting up eduroam.
  - Please ensure that no spaces are added to the information!

Click Continue in the bottom right corner to complete the installation.
