Data Driven Economy
New digital technologies open up new fields of application and lead to a wealth of data. This development poses new challenges for the analysis of the economic and societal benefits of data - not only at the company level but also in terms of institutional, economic, societal and ethical frameworks. We, the accent area Data Driven Economy (DDE), are a group of professors from across different departments and faculties at the Justus Liebig University Giessen that aim to address these challenges and explore related issues.
The current focus of the AA DDE is on the following guiding questions:
- How can the technology-driven data wealth and data variety be used on the one hand successfully in economic terms and on the other hand responsibly for society as a whole?
- Which (new) methods are needed to analyze the data themselves and the algorithms used to analyze the data?
- Research & Transfer
- The research in the Accent Area Data Driven Economy (AA DDE) focuses on three fields. These sites provide further information on projects, publications and transfer activities.
- As part of the AA DDE our chairs offer modules which are characterized by particularly intensive analysis of data driven developments on several levels.
