Intended activities for the year 2018

Within the project focus on „UNESCO Global Geopark Georgia“ project partners from Georgia and Germany will jointly evaluate the potentials for Geoparks in the East and the West of Georgia. Therefor, in a previous step, data on potential geotopes will be gathered and the spots need to be described. In the course of this it is envisaged to involve two junior scientists from Georgia and one from Germany. The findings will be used in the development of potential concepts, which deal with the establishment of UNESCO Global Geoparks in Georgia. The then undertaken field studies shall also be part of the junior researchers‘ academic qualifications in being described and discussed in their Master thesis or Dissertations.
