in the field of Theoretical modelling of on surface chemical reactions
The position is part of the externally funded project "PriOSS - Principles of Organic On-Surface Synthesis" and is limited until 31.12.2025 at the Chair of Theoretical Solid State Spectroscopy, Department of Theoretical Physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Physics, Geography. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).
Your tasks at a glance
- Teaching in bachelor and master courses of physics and materials science
- Modelling substrate supported chemical reactions in the framework of the DFT
- Calculation of spectroscopic signatures, in particular, AFM and STM
- Presentation of the research results, publication on peer reviewed journals, etc.
- Administrative tasks at the university
Your qualifications and competences
- Completed Master‘s and PhD or equivalent university degree in physics or materials science
- Experience in DFT calculations, experience in modelling of molecules and/or surfaces
- Experience with calculations on supercomputers
