Vita

Ulrich Glassmann is Assistant Professor at the chair of comparative politics, faculty of economics and social sciences at the University of Cologne. He has been a doctoral student at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne and an external collaborator at the European University Institute in Florence. He gained his Ph.D. in economics and social sciences form the University of Osnabrück. His research interests include social and economic policies, regional governance, empirical research on democracies and experimental research on political behavior. He has done extensive field research on these issues in Germany and Italy. In his current work he applies concepts from experimental economics to analyse the influence of individual behaviour on welfare politics.
