eduroam with Linux-Tools
Setting up eduroam on Linux using on-board tools
Requirements

Certificate: should be included as a known root certificate in the distributions under /etc/ssl/certs by default – the following is required: T-TeleSec_GlobalRoot_Class_2.pem If the required certificate is not available, it can be downloaded here from the link provided.
Setup with the graphical user interface (GUI)
Modern Linux distributions mostly use NetworkManager, so the following procedure should work on Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, Arch Linux and other systems with GNOME, KDE or other desktop environments:
Open network management:
GNOME: Open network management → Netzwerk → WLAN.
KDE: Network Connections.
All available networks will appear with their names (SSID). Select eduroam as your Wi-Fi network.
Enable advanced settings and set the following values:
Security method: WPA- & WPA2-Enterprise
Authentication: Tunneled TLS (also: Tunneled TLS or TTLS)
Anonymous identity: eduroam@uni-giessen.de
Username: J_A1B2C3D@uni-giessen.de
Password: Your_Password (************************)
Inner authentication: PAP
CA certificate: T-TeleSec GlobalRoot Class 2: /etc/ssl/certs/T-TeleSec_GlobalRoot_Class_2.pem
Domain: uni-giessen.de
Save and establish connection.
