Society

The Society for Economic and Social Sciences of Agriculture

founded in 1959, pursues the following goals:

  • to promote teaching and research in the economic and social sciences of agriculture,
  • to foster the exchange of scientific knowledge and experience between the members of the Society and with domestic and foreign institutions of a similar character and
  • to serve the discussion of scientific problems.

The Society has about 400 members. They are mainly active in science at universities and research institutes, in administration, companies with the focus on agricultural science as well as in consultancy and practice as agricultural economists and sociologists.
