Programme 2025

Mathematics Day on September 25, 2025

Starting at 9:30 a.m.: Registration in the foyer of the Institute of Mathematics, Arndtstraße 2 (at the intersection of Arndtstraße and Fichtestraße); distribution of program handouts and sign-up for workshops (on a first-come, first-served basis). You can access brief descriptions of the presentations and workshops in advance by following the links below the titles. On-site, information will be available on bachelor’s, master’s, and teacher-training programs in mathematics, on the role of mathematics and mathematicians in professional life, and on opportunities to speak with students, research assistants, or professors. In addition, exhibits from the “Hands-On Mathematics” exhibition will allow you to “try out” mathematics, and a collection of posters will illustrate the “Impact of the Mathematical Sciences.”

 10:00 a.m.: Brief welcome remarks.
