Excursion

The Conference Excursion will be trip into local history on Wednesday, September 14 at 12:30 p.m.

A short bus ride will carry you back 2000 years in time to the Saalburg, a reconstructed Roman castle located near the Limes, the defense wall of the Roman Empire against the Teutons. We will have a guided tour of the archaeological site  and explore the Roman way of life in impressive exhibits. In a second stop closely nearby we will explore an open air museum comprising many original medieval buildings collected from different places all over the State of Hesse (Der Hessenpark). Most of these houses are fully furnished and illustrate the living in the area in the 16^th to 19^th century.
