Transportation

Giessen can be easily reached from all European and overseas countries via  train or air transportation. An international arrival should be preferentially planed via Frankfurt/Main using either the central train station or the international airport Frankfurt/Main. From there, Giessen can be easily reached by train in less than one hour.  The train station at Giessen is located in the center of the town. Most of the proposed hotels are in walking distance. In addition there are local taxi or bus services available.
