IRTG fellow investigator awarded with the highest recognition of the Federal Republic of Germany

For his outstanding honorary commitment in the field of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Weider, dean of the Medical Faculty, received the Order of Merit first grade conferred by Volker Bouffier Minister-President of the state of Hesse.

Poster Prize awarded at the ESA-SRB Conference, Adelaide, Australia, 19-22 Aug 2018

Congratulations to Christine (IRTG project 7) who won this year’s  Early Career Researcher Poster award with her poster entitled "Investigation of intratesticular inflammatory responses in humans and mice implicates activin A as a potential inducer of fibrosis in the testis". Bravo!

Kate Loveland receives the Fuller W. Blazer SSR International Scientist Award

The Fuller W. Bazer SSR International Scientist Award recognises an outstanding international scientist who has consistently demonstrated excellence in research and graduate education at an institution outside of North America and who demonstrates outstanding potential for leading and directing scientific research overseas.

The award will be conferred to Kate at the SSR 2018 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, US.

It's a great achievement and a well-merited recognition of your superb performance, Kate.

Travel Grants for Siv Indumathy and Dana Püschl

ASRI Travel Grand Award for ASRI-CSI Annual Meeting,  June 28 - July 01 2018 in Shanghai (CN)

Congratulations to Siv and Dana (both IRTG project 2) who receive that travel grant to attend the ASRI-CSI Annual Meeting and to present their papers.

Siv's being entitled "Delineating the testicular leukocyte population in the adult mouse"

Dana's being entitled "The testicular germ cell tumor line (TCam-2) drives M0 and M1 macrophages (THP-1derived monocytes) into the immunosuppressive M2 phenotype"

This is a fantastic achievement  for IRTG with students taking home two of the 10 travel grants that were issued. Great job, ladies!

Mathias honoured with the best poster award at the 7th DVR-Congress held 7-9 Dec 2017 in Munich

 Congrats to Mathias who received an award for his poster then selected for oral presentation.

Title of poster: "Ejaculation disorders and treatment of BPH: Disturbed function of prostate ducts and seminal vesicles by alpha1-adrenergic receptor blocker tamsulosin but not by PDE5 inhibitors".

NYRA Board awarded two IRTG Alumni

Britta & Constanze have been honored with awards at the 10th Meeting of the NYRA

The Award for best abstract was awarded to both of them at the at the meeting of the "Network for Young Researchers in Andrology" taking place in Brussels, September 11-13.
The award is linked with a ISA Travel Grant over 500€ each.

Moreover, Conni's oral presentation of her doctoral research has been rewarded with the price best speaker!
