Farewell to Rukmali

Monash student returning to Australia      

After a very productive full year stay at JLU Rukmali is on her way back home to continue her work within project 9 from there.

Erasmus+ grant for IRTG admin

Visit at Monash to exchange knowlege of administrative tasks

JLU Administrator, Pia Jürgens, spent 10 fruitful days in Melbourne. Key objective of her visit was to build an in-depth working knowledge of procedures for student enrollment, management during candidature and at the time of thesis submission.

Elham heading off to Melbourne

6th doctoral Student off to Australia

Elham just started her research stay of 7 months; she works under supervision of Thorsten Diemer and Adrian Pilatz and will be doing research work with Peter Stanton in project 4 during her stay at Monash University.

We wish her a lot of success and a pleasant stay in Australia!

Betty Exintaris speaks at the 9th GGL Annual Conference

Co-Supervisor from Monash University is visiting Giessen - Sept 20 - 21

Betty Exintaris, Co-Supervisor in projects 5 & 6, has been invited as the speaker of section 6 for the "9th GGL Annual Conference". Her talk on "Spontaneous contractile activity in the human prostate gland: implications for a more personalised treatment approach for benign prostatic hyperplasia" will take place in the afternoon of September 20.

We are happy to welcome her here and wish her a pleasant stay.

Travel Grants for Sivanjah Indumathy

Two travel grants for conferences in Australia obtained

Sivanjah received grants to participate at the Inflammation in Reproduction, Pregnancy and Development Symposium in Palm Cove, Australia as well as the Joint Conference of the Society for Reproductive Biology/Endocrine Society of Australia at Gold Coast were she contributed with a talk.

Travel Grants for Rukmali

from DAAD and the Larry Ewing Memorial Trainee Travel Fund (375 US$)

To attend and give a long oral presentation at the SSR 2016 meeting (Society for the Study of Reproduction) Rukmali has secured two travel grants this June.

Centre for Reproductive Health PhD Student Travel Grant

Congratulations to Rukmali (IRTG project 9) who received that travel grant covering the cost for attending the European Testis Workshop taking place June 11- 15, 2016 in St. Malo, France and for lab visits in USA. Good job!

INYRMF and ISA Grant  for ETW, St. Malo, France, June 11-15, 2016

The International Network for Young Researchers on Male Fertility has selected Anna-Lena's abstract for a talk at their meeting in Rennes, France to be held June 09-10, 2016.

With the support of the International Society of Andrology, these abstracts are awarded with a free registration for the ensuing European Testis Workshop in St. Malo. Compliments on this new success, Anna-Lena!

Position at Leibniz Institute for Sebastian Galuska

New position for Sebastian Galuska

One of our Supervisors in project 3 has obtained an attractive permanent position as a group leader in Glycobiology at the well-known Leibniz Institute for Farm Animal Biology.
Though up in the far North of Germany he will continue supervision of doctoral student Pradeep Kumar Kudipudi.
