| We are very excited to announce the publication of On_Culture's 19th issue on "Disruption"! The issue has been guest-edited by Farouk El Maarouf, Justus Grebe, and Anastasiia Marsheva. |
| Issue 19 reflects on disruption as a concept to show that disruption is not only an interruption of normality, but also has the potential to reshape knowledge practices, reconfigure cultural imaginaries, and challenge the foundations of critique itself. |
| The contributions to this issue explore how disruption has the capacity to reveal what has been silenced, challenge prevailing narratives and open up spaces, in which marginalized groups are able to articulate their identities. As the contributions to the issue demonstrate, disruption can unsettle hegemonic narratives and reveal marginalized strategies and reimaginings. Thus, disruption can be creative and not merely destabilize but also govern. |
