What we do
The Eckhardt group focuses on understanding microstructure-property relationships in solid state systems. Using various modeling approaches, advanced statistical methods, and machine learning techniques, large datasets are generated or analyzed to unravel the relationships between material structure, (transport) processes, and functional properties. The goal is to develop data-driven approaches that accelerate both materials research and the development of innovative technologies. The interdisciplinary research combines theory and experiment in physics, chemistry, materials science, data science and applied computer science to create sustainable solutions for future-oriented applications.
