The international summer school "Climate Change Impacts on the MED Agro-Food Chain" will take place at the Schloss Rauischholzhausen. A Historical Site

Schloss Rauischholzhausen was built between 1874 and 1878 by Ferdinand von Stumm, who commissioned leading architects in Germany to build a prestigious castle for him and his family. Nestled in a beautiful landscape with more than three hundred different types of trees, several ponds connected by cascading waterfalls as well as many sculptures, the Rauischholzhausen castle boasts uninterrupted view in addition to layered history. Generous in romantic sensibilities, it is no wonder that one feels like living in a fairy-tale.

Calm & Inspring Environment

Rauischholzhausen castle looks out in the central Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf; thick with woods and enchanting walks, it is a perfect spot from which to indulge in the history of the area. Moreover, it is a great starting point for treks around its surrounding nature and for visits to the medieval towns of Ebsdorfergrund and Marburg. Finally, with the university towns Marburg and Gießen in the surrounding area, a lot of leisure facilities are close by.
