02.08.2023 - Abstract Submission Deadline Extended: Water Security and Climate Change Conference 2023
The organizers of the Water Security and Climate Change Conference are delighted to announce that the abstract submission deadline has been extended until 15 August 2023. The conference will take place from 21 - 23 November 2023 at the Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador, offering researchers and experts from around the world an exceptional platform to share their insights and research on critical water security and climate change topics.
The Water Security and Climate Change Conference (WSCC) is jointly organized by the SDGnexus Network, the Centers for Natural Resources and Development (CNRD), the International Network on Sustainable Water Management in Developing Countries (SWINDON), the Food Security Center (FSC), and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Esteemed experts in the field of water and climate change are invited to submit their abstracts to be a part of this significant event.
This year's conference theme, Coping with extremes: Impacts & Innovation for Adaptation, focuses on exploring the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in various aspects of water security, and how it relates to climate variability and climate change. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and bringing together stakeholders from different sectors, the WSCC 2023 aims to develop sustainable strategies for water resource management in the face of climate change.
The conference series has seen successful implementations in Thailand, Germany, Kenya, Mexico, Vietnam, and Thailand between 2016 and 2022. With the support of the Exceed program (Higher Education Excellence in Development Cooperation) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) from funds of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)), WSCC 2023 promises to be an enriching and impactful event.
