- The research activity at the Department for Political Science covers a broad spectrum of topics, including the areas of Political Theory and History of Thought, Gender Studies, Democracy and Democratization Studies, Politics and Economics in a Multi-Level Governance System, Germany’s Political and Social System / comparing political systems, International Relations, International Integration focusing on Eastern Europe and Methodology of Political Studies. The diverse research profile of the department relies on the close cooperation of the scholars within internal research sections and centers as well as on national and international partners within research projects and associations.
