Research interests and methods
I am interested in elucidating the gene regulatory networks underlying carpel development in California poppy and in the evolution of plant specialized metabolism within Ranunculales. My work includes wet‑lab approaches such as plant transformation, tissue culture, yeast two‑hybrid (Y2H), and virus‑induced gene silencing (VIGS), as well as dry‑lab methods including WGCNA, DESeq2, OrthoFinder, and other tools for transcriptome analysis. I am also involved in teaching and supervising bachelor’s and master’s students.
