Research: In-situ Analytics
Modern ionisation methods allow the direct analysis of samples by mass spectrometry without sample preparation . In combination with transportable mass spectometers on-site analysis becomes feasible. We develop instrumentation, methods und data analysis programms for the detection of pollutants in food and customer goods.
Research focus
- mass spectrometic analysis of biological samples and method development
- new ambient ionisation methods
- mass spectrometry imaging
- multivariate analysis of metabolomic fingerprints
- mass spectrometry-based screening methods for food and customer goods
- on-site analysis
screening methods for:
- pesticid residues in fruit and vegetable
- phthalates/plasticizer in customer goods
