Research: In-situ Analytics

Modern ionisation methods allow the direct analysis of samples by mass spectrometry without sample preparation . In combination with transportable mass spectometers on-site analysis becomes feasible. We develop instrumentation, methods und data analysis programms for the detection of pollutants in food and customer goods.

Research focus

  • mass spectrometic analysis of biological samples and method development
  • new ambient ionisation methods
  • mass spectrometry imaging
  • multivariate analysis of metabolomic fingerprints
  • mass spectrometry-based screening methods for food and customer goods
  • on-site analysis

screening methods for:

  • pesticid residues in fruit and vegetable
  • phthalates/plasticizer in customer goods
