Impact of environmental variability on composition and distribution of molluscan faunas in eastern Africa

This project is part of a joint project on eastern African terrestrial and lacustrine community structures. For the lacustrine molluscan fauna, a framework to trace environmental change since the Mio-Plio-Pleistocene is available with utilization of molecular and phylogeographic methods also involving the fossil record of selected taxa from East African lake systems.
