The International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) is seeking to fill up to three positions as soon as possible .   

 Student Assistant m/f/d )
Curriculum/Teaching Centre /Publications  

to be filled for a total of up to 43 hours/month, initially for one year  
 
The International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) at JLU offers doctoral candidates in literary and cultural studies a structured doctoral program in cultural studies . As a renowned center for cultural studies research, the graduate centre provides its doctoral candidates with optimal conditions for their doctoral studies and tailored preparation for the period after graduation, both for academic and non-academic careers. 
 
As a student assistant, you will support the team with a variety of tasks : 

Focus: Curriculum 

  • Maintenance of the online calendar and the  Stud.IP pages

  • Coordination of the registration process for various course formats (using Stud.IP) 

  • Conducting and evaluating courses 

  • Support with curriculum organization 

  • Other administrative and organizational tasks within the student assistant team 
Focus: Teaching Centre 
  • Assistance in designing the teaching program at the Teaching Centre 
  • Technical, communicative and organizational support for workshops 
  • Participation in the co-teaching program: matching , research, certification 
  • Support in preparing and implementing the Predoctoral Programme 
  • Assistance with public relations, especially website maintenance
  • Data processing: collection, analysis, evaluations 
  • Support in organizing events (including conferences) at the centre 
  • Other administrative and organizational tasks within the student assistant team

Focus: Publications 

  • Collaboration in the publication of various scientific publications
  • Support in managing the e-journal On_Culture (formal check, plagiarism check) 
  • Editorial management of the publication website 
  • Research work 
  • Other administrative and organizational tasks within the student assistant team

What are you bringing with you?
