We are excited to announce a special session in the Indian Animal Studies Collective's Table Talk Series, featuring a conversation with Liza B. Bauer on her book “Livestock and Literature: Reimagining Postanimal Companion Species” (2024).

Her work foregrounds the impact of animal industry on cultural imaginations, and makes a case for deindustrializing the latter. The talk will delve into how literature can influence our perspectives on animal ethics, particularly in the context of the animals we traditionally consider as livestock.

Join us for this insightful conversation on Friday, 31st January at 3:00 PM CET / 7:30 PM IST.

This session is part of a larger series featuring prominent scholars in the field of Animal Studies, including Gary Francione, Susan McHugh, Dinesh Wadiwel, and many others.
