Accessibility Statement (AI for Everyone!)

This accessibility statement applies to the website published at https://ki-chat.uni-giessen.de of Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU). It utilizes a web interface for certain AI applications (HAWKI) developed by HAWK.

We aim to make the website accessible. Notes on existing barriers and internal JLU developments to address these barriers will be integrated into the development of HAWKI.

Note: The assessment is currently being conducted as part of a pilot phase of the website.

The accessibility requirements are derived from § 3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and § 4 of the HVBIT, which was issued based on § 14 of the HessBGG.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment conducted from July 2024 to October 2024.

Parts of the application are not accessible. In particular, it has been found that:

  • Alternative texts for controls are missing,
