Innovative online teaching exchange between UniSQ and JLU

Since 2020, the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) has been cooperating with Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) to develop modern online formats and virtual courses. On June 11, a delegation from UniSQ visited JLU Giessen, including Dr. Julie Lindsay, e-learning expert at UniSQ.

During her stay, Dr. Lindsay met with Richard Vargas, Juliane Sommer and Anna Jäger, the International Teaching Training Team of the joint project NIDIT (Network for Impactful Digital International Teaching Skills), as well as with the project coordinator Dr. Marie Fuchs. The focus of the meeting was on getting to know each other personally and exchanging innovative tools and techniques, good practice examples and the latest results of educational research. The synergies between NIDIT and Dr. Lindsay that emerged during the meeting will soon be used in joint projects. In addition, Dr. Lindsay was able to deepen her contacts in the fields of classical archaeology, educational science and linguistics.

The international cooperation and the exchange of experiences with virtual teaching programs promote the further development of modern, globally networked education and drive the research project "Curriculum Embedded Global Collaboration" forward.
