Digitaltag 2023 – Open Day at the Lab for Innovative Teaching at the JLU

On June 16 the nationwide Digitaltag took place with more than 2,000 activities. The team of the Lab for Innovative Teaching at JLU was happy to be a part of it and welcomed the visitors at an open day. The interested people dived into different virtual reality worlds together and shared their experiences with us.

More information and the announcement of the next Digitaltag can be found at: https://digitaltag.eu/

Cooperative project "Museum 3D" with Classical Archaeology

We are pleased to be able to provide you with a small insight into the cooperation project "Museum 3D - A virtual exhibition space as a DigiLab for museums and teaching" with the Chair of Classical Archaeology at Justus Liebig University. The team from the Lab for Innovative Teaching is working together with Dr Michaela Stark, Dr Claudia Schmieder, the project team and the seminar students on a joint multimedia project. For this purpose, a virtual exhibition space is being designed, which will be used as an experimental laboratory for training in the handling of objects, for method-oriented and interdisciplinary teaching formats as well as for a special student exhibition. Exhibition pieces curated by the students for the special exhibition are photographed and recreated as 3D models. These will finally be exhibited in the virtual museum space and complemented with the relevant information. The special exhibition at the Oberhessisches Museum is planned for October 2023.

The Qualification Portal e-teaching.org turns 20!

The e-teaching.org portal celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate warmly. A lot has happened since the first online appearance in 2003.

E-teaching.org offers academically based and up-to-date resources on didactic, technical and organisational issues in teaching and learning with digital media and is aimed at lecturers and staff at higher education institutions in German-speaking countries. The aim of this offer is to be a contact point for the self-organised advanced training of individual lecturers and to act as an tool in the realisation of further training measures at universities.

For the anniversary campaign, many pages of the portal were updated and newly developed. As part of this, the Lab for Innovative Teaching has received the positive news of the recently published VR Use Case Catalogue being included and linked on two of the portal pages. We are delighted to be able to make our Use Case Catalogue visible and thereby make a contribution to the content.
