Evolutionary developmental biology of plants
Welcome to the web pages of the lab for plant developmental genetics
We study the evolution of plant development (evodevo) and concentrate on the evolution of flowers. Further, we are interested in the molecular base of phenotypic plasticity.
We work with different organisms like Arabidopsis thaliana, Eschscholzia californica (basal eudicot), Trifolium pratense (legume) and even Physcomitrella patens (moss), using a multitude of molecular genetics tools and microscopy.
On 30.03.2021 our PhD student Kimmo Kivivirta has successfully completed his PhD.
Congratulations and all the best for the future!
