August 2022 - the group has moved as of August 1st 2022. We will continue our work at ISAS in Dortmund. In case you would like to be part of our team, contact Sven Heiles at Sven.Heiles@isas.de.

December 2021 - Our draft has been selected as cover for this month's issue of Journal of the Amercian Society for Mass Spectrometry! Congrats Simon!

November 2021 - How do lipid fragment ions look like and can we understand fragmentation pathways? Our new article in Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry provides some first insights! Congrats Simon!

June 2021 - New review on advanced tandem mass spectrometry methods in lipidomics and metabolomics out. The open access article is part of the series "Rising Stars and Top Experts" of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry!

May 2021 - Proton number and proton location impact fragmentation efficency and cleavage sites in 213 nm top-down ultraviolet photodissociation experiments. We demonstratet and discuss these findings in our recent publication. Congrats Simon!

March 2021 - What happens in the venom gland of a snake? First hints were now revealed by high resolution MSI for the saw-scaled viper. Congrats Parviz!

January 2021 - Development, tests and first applications of our new generation of high lateral resolution AP MALDI MSI sources for high-throughput applications is disccussed in our Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry article. Congrats Max!

September 2020 -Congratulations Fabian! Our article on a new multifunctional reactive MALDI matrix was published in Analytical Chemistry.

January 2020 - Our investigations on structural changes of lipids upon ambient oxidation are now published in Analyst. Congratulations Patrick!

January 2020 - First succesful use of 213 nm laser light for AP-MALDI MSI. MS images with down to 3 µm lateral resolution can now routinely be aquired with this new ion source.

October 2019 - Our collaborative work with researchers at the University of Cologne on "Cross-linking MS" is online. Congratulations Patrick!
