LINKING

Exclusion is a widespread thread to many people in the European Union, e.g. for migrants, youth, disabled people, and other groups. Inclusion can be achieved by increasing peoples’ multi-literacy skills; at least this is a hypothesis by the New London Group and their work about multi-literacy.

The innovative concepts of ubiquitous learning and multi-literacy shall be used in cooperation with libraries and social scientists as well as informatics-teams across Europe to foster inclusion by literacy and test new ways, e.g. by developing software that allows to use “segments” of other software that may enhance skills.

The interesting core of our part of the project shall be the development of a new user typology for man-machine-interaction that does not care only for man-machine-interaction – but also for man-man-interaction beside – that is multi-literacy and transfer of skills.

Together with several other investigators across Europe, Prof. Dr. Johannes Fromme and Dr. Ralf Biermann (Institute for Education, U Magdeburg), and myself want to cooperate in this project.
