Working Groups Involved
Economic Geography
The research group Economic Geography is part of the WIMORE M.Sc. program. The teaching modules cover economic geography theory, empiricism, and politics. The content focuses on the fields of innovation, knowledge-based regional development, and spatial mobility. The connection to current research projects and activities of the entire working group ensures relevance to research and practice and provides insights into the latest scientific development trends.
Spatial Planning and Urban Geography
Within the WIMORE M.Sc. program, the research group is primarily responsible for issues relating to spatial policy areas. The teaching modules are systematically linked to research content, particularly in the areas of regional governance, planning theory, and evaluation research. The research assistants bring their expertise to the modules, which ensures that a wide range of topics are covered, in particular regional planning, urban planning, regional development, transport geography, and the smart city as an overarching development goal.
