Prof. Erika George

Prof. Erika George is the director of the Tanner Humanities Center and is the Samuel D. Thurman Professor of Law in the S.J. Quinney College of Law where she teaches international human rights. Previously, she worked for Human Rights Watch monitoring gender-based violence, protecting children’s rights and advocating for an end to all forms of racial discrimination and discrimination against women.

She was on the board of the American Civil Liberties Union of Utah. She currently serves on the board of the American Bar Association Center for Human Rights.
