Physikalische Festkörperchemie - Festkörperionik und Elektrochemie
-

The research of our group is directed towards the physicochemical basis of solid state processes, that are important for modern energy and interface technologies.
The research group is located in the Institute of Physical Chemistry on the Science Campus at the Heinrich-Buff-Ring 58 (Chemistry Building). The secretariat is located in the 9th floor of the building (room 931). If you plan to visit us, you will find a short description of the way to the institute under .
"How to find us".
If you do not find the desired information on our pages, please contact
us by E-Mail. We aim to keep the homepage updated and user-friendly. You will find the contact persons for general questions
or problems concerning the homepage below "Contact" on the right side
of the page.

Here you can find alternating insights into our research group. Enlarged versions of all published pictures can be found here.
The picture shows the scanning electron microscope image of a microstructured silver electrode on a solid oxygen ion conductor. From left to right the dewetting of the silver electrode is illustrated, starting from a dense film and resulting in isolated particles, as proceeding in air after a few hours at a temperature of 400 °C. The inserts are detail pictures of micro crystallites which have been formed geometrically well-defined shapes on the surface during cooling of the sample. (Picture submitted by Jonas Neumeier.)
