The JLU Prize is awarded with the kind support of the united Ludoviciana Foundation and the Osann-Beulwitz Foundation. It is now endowed with €5,000 and is usually awarded alternately in the two sections:

1. Law, economics, social sciences, and humanities 
2. Natural sciences and medicine
