Tenured Scientists with continuous functions fulfill ongoing accruing scientific tasks over a long period of time. They are experts in their field and function as important contact persons for students as well as new members of research and working groups. Furthermore, they carry out significant coordination tasks in their departments and guarantee continuity in working groups in the case of personnel changes.
