Laboratory Research Assistant (m/f/d)
to support ongoing research projects in our laboratory.
The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge molecular and cell biology research in the cardiovascular and pulmonary fields. Specifically, your work will support translational lung research by utilising pre-clinical research models to study the underlying mechanisms of lung injury and repair.
Responsibilities
• Isolating and maintaining cells under sterile conditions, and conducting in vitro cell assays to assess proliferation, migration, and apoptosis.
• Performing standard Molecular Biology techniques, including PCR, Western blotting, and RNA extraction.
• Acquiring imaging data and utilising AI-based image processing tools for analysis.
• Assisting with day-to-day routine laboratory procedures, such as preparing buffers, creating aliquots, and maintaining general lab equipment.
Your Profile
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or (preferably) Master's program in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Prior practical experience in cell culture, molecular biology, or histology is highly advantageous, though not strictly required.
• A highly skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to laboratory work.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good communication skills in English.
