Exchange, orientation and joint design: Artificial intelligence in university teaching

With the first workshop on 28 October, the International Office, in collaboration with Filippa Buda (NIDIT), launched a new series on the use of artificial intelligence in university teaching. The kick-off meeting already showed how much the topic moves the participants. Perspectives ranged from initial approaches to in-depth application experiences. The series is led by Filippa Buda, who also accompanies the emerging working group. The aim is to create a protected framework for collegial exchange, methodological impulses and critical discussions.

The group wants to further develop the use of AI in a teaching context in a conscious and reflective manner. The focus is on questions concerning the classification of AI-generated texts, the further development of examination formats, and opportunities for teaching design and material development. The positive potential for learning itself is also highlighted. The upcoming dates offer space for experimentation, reflection, and the joint development of viable approaches for the meaningful use of AI in higher education.
