Cloud Access
Access to the de.NBI Cloud is restricted to users and groups working in the field of bioinformatics and can be provided upon individual requests.
As a first step to access the de.NBI Cloud interested users will have to apply for an individual account. Users will have to accept the General Usage Policy of the de.NBI Cloud and in addition, the local access policies of the individual sites apply. Accounts are usually provided for an initial time period of 12 months and can be continued on an annual basis.
Computational resources are granted by submitting a short project proposal containing a brief description of the planned work and a reasonable justification of the requested computing capacities. All resources will be granted for a limited period of time but can be extended if necessary.
General access to the de.NBI Cloud resources at Giessen University is provided via the OpenStack Dashboard. Please make sure to specify "de.NBI" as domain name and enter your login and password.
Use of de.NBI Cloud computing resources is free of charge for academic users. Users with commercial background should contact us for further conversation. Please acknowledge the de.NBI network when publishing results that were generated by using de.NBI services.
