Main research areas

I am an individual-based modeler of plant community dynamics. I have developed individual-based models at the margin between community and ecosystem ecology. I am particularly interested in constructing grass and herbaceous species from trait databases and simulate their interaction in grassland communities under current climatic conditions and those of the future (via the Universal Individual-Based Model, UIBM). My second expertise lies in simulating mangrove forest dynamics individual-based (using mesoFON & macroFON).
