Häberlein lab - Helminth Cell Biology
- Welcome to the website of the Häberlein lab. Our research interest is the control of multicellular pathogens and the deciphering of their cell biology. We focus on the liver fluke Fasciola hepatica and the blood fluke Schistosoma mansoni, two parasitic flatworms. Both are important pathogens causing Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) worldwide and have great importance from a from a One Health perspective.
