Welcome
Research in our section employs molecular genetics and biochemistry to understand the regulation of genes and other cellular processes as well as development in a range of bacterial, viral and plant systems in addition to animals and humans. The interaction of proteins with nucleic acids, protein partners, lipids and other biomolecules is the common interest of the different groups in the section. Thereby up-to-date techniques and approaches are used to explore the functional significance of such interactions on the molecular, biophysical and physiological level.
