- GGL Career Day 2026 – Save the Date!
- The GGL Career Day 2026 will take place on 18 March 2026 at the JLU Main Building from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. At the moment the programme is still in the making but we will certainly have a mixed programme for careers in academia, industry and other branches. As usual, we are also offering CV Checks in German and English. GGL Alumni will share their career experience and first-hand advice for entering certain career tracks.

- Graduation and Welcome Ceremony 2025

Our warmest congratulations to our Graduating Class of 2024! We are happy that we could celebrate 39 new graduates in person during this beautiful ceremony. The ceremony was a great evening with many highlights including the festive handover of the certificates, the commencement speeches and the Welcome for 57 new GGL members.
We wish all our graduates the best for their future and invite you to join our alumni network at LinkedIn or our PostDoc programme.
- 18th GGL Annual Conference
- The International Giessen Graduate Centre for the Life Sciences invites you to the 18th GGL Conference at 10 - 11 September, 2025. The GGL doctoral researchers of all ten interdisciplinary research sections will contribute to the programme and present their recent research results. Each session will be opened by a guest speaker who is an expert in the specific field. This year all GGL members will present short talks or posters to introduce their research projects. Prizes which are donated by industrial supporters or the GGL will be awarded in the categories best talk, best posters and best GGL photograph. Calendar Link

Our speakers will report on their career paths and their work in industry, public authorities and in the university environment. This year’s graduates joined us at the peak of the COVID pandemic, and we are happy that we could meet 29 of our 40 new graduates in person during this beautiful ceremony. The ceremony was a great evening with many highlights including the festive handover of the certificates, the commencement speeches and the Welcome for 40 new GGL members.
