We cordially invite you to the Online-Workshop titled "Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Research of Food Systems" which takes place on Thursday, 1 February 2024 from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm (Central European Time). The workshop will be held in English and include the following 2 presentations:    
 
  1. Prof. Fabio Leiva (Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá): A Preliminary Characterization of the Colombian Agri-Food System
  2. Dr.  Sandra Schwindenhammer (Institute for Political Science, JLU Gießen): Navigating the Dual Quality of Agriculture and Land Use in Sustainability Policy
The presentations will provide insights into Colombia's agri-food-system and discuss agriculture and land use as key issues of sustainability policy in general. The workshop will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Iván Alberto Lizarazo Salcedo (Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota) and Prof. Dr. Helmut Breitmeier (Justus Liebig University in Giessen). 
 
The workshop will take place under the umbrella of the SDGnexus Network, which is a global community of universities, research centers, and stakeholders committed to promoting the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development. The SDGnexus Network is a part of the DAAD “Higher Education Excellence in Development Cooperation – exceed” program and, as such, it aims to strengthen higher education for enabling effective and innovative contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. UNAL's Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota) and the section "Norms and Change in World Politics" of the Graduate Center for Social Sciences, Business, Economics, and Law at Justus-Liebig University in Giessen will act as co-organizers.
