Seminars
Information on seminars in the winter semester 2025/2026:
Bachelor seminar
The Proseminar "Sustainable Finance & Governance" examines the unique aspects of sustainable investing from both investor and corporate perspectives. On the one hand, the characteristics of sustainable financial products will be critically analyzed; on the other hand, sustainable strategies and control structures in companies will be evaluated. Potential questions may involve the sustainability features of funds or under what conditions diversity in management contributes to higher company performance. For this purpose, participants can collect their own data or analyze existing datasets. Based on this, a specific question should be developed, clearly presented, and evaluated using scientific literature.
Necessary requirements:
- Participation at the kick-off event
- Submission of the written paper
We look forward to welcoming you as a future participant in our main seminar!

Master seminar
The Master seminar "Sustainable Finance & Governance" explores various topics through case studies and brief empirical analyses of (mostly) German companies. For different questions (e.g., sustainability in executive compensation, diversity in management, sustainability of funds, etc.), data should be collected manually to answer scientific questions within the complex subject of Sustainable Finance & Governance. In addition to data collection, smaller analyses should also be conducted; advanced statistical knowledge is not necessary, but solid proficiency in Excel (or similar tools) is required.
Necessary requirements:
