„Sustainability Reporting"

 

This year's Masterseminar deals with current developments in the field of sustainability reporting. A important role in the sustainable transformation of the economy is carried out by the financial markets, which rely on information on the degree of sustainability of economic activities. While the CSR guideline from 2014 - implemented in Germany since 2017 - specified the content, but not the form of the reporting. There is currently a global discussion towards a more binding nature of both the content and the form of reporting. This current discussion will be a central element of Seminar. To this end, the status quo of sustainability reporting should first be presented and, in particular, the procedures in different countries around the world should be compared. Then the advantages and disadvantages of different reporting procedures will be analyzed and current political proposals will be evaluated against this background.
